Kelly, I can hardly wait for you scapegoat essay. On that note, someone just posted something very funny on Rebecca's site. She said she doesn't think of herself as a scapegoat anymore...She thinks of herself as an escaped goat! LOL This really cracked me up and I hope it makes you laugh too!
I haven't read all your posts...can you link me your scapegoat essay? The reason I suggested you post on the C-PDST website is I can't afford to support you just now, but thought maybe you could pick up some subscribers there. Your insights are incredible!
I've read a few of your essays and I'm floored by the way you write. You are very, very talented.
Oh wow. Thank you for reading and commenting - that supports my work! I so appreciate your kind words. The scapegoat essay is not yet published. I’m trying to find a bigger venue
than my little substack so it can reach more readers. I’ll check out the CPTSD site and appreciate your suggestion and support. It’s everything. Thank you, Lise.
I really liked the analogy you gave for the lesson you feel you learned in this experience. I'd like to ask how can God and Sex go together when the sex was not your choice? I am a survivor of CSA and My body responded to things I never asked for, then I was blamed for supposedly making them happen. I don't understand how God can be any part of something so vile and harmful. I don't believe in Love anymore because of these experiences. I can't believe that God and Sex could ever coexist after something like that.
Hi there, I’m sorry you’re having issues regarding love. Or maybe confusion about what real love is. I think I know where you’re coming from. Life is so confusing at times. Don’t give up on yourself and love. ♥️🌷👱♀️
"I had done the work, I thought. I didn’t know the work happens in the failure of relationship, not in the happy ever after."
I cannot think of a more accurate description of "doing the work" in a relationship. Like literally the best relationship advice I have ever read.
Gahhhhhhh 🌻🫶🌻 Claire!
"A girl groomed to sacrifice a self she wasn’t allowed to develop." HOLY FUCK, YES!!!! 🖤
